Ultimate control to draw strikes in the toughest conditions

The SATOU Jig is a highly refined slow-pitch jig, fully supervised by legendary jigger Norihiro Sato, a pioneer of modern jigging and the creator of slow pitch jerk.

Sato’s request was clear:
A long, flat jig that falls quickly and can be precisely controlled with minimal input.
Every detail of the SATOU Jig was developed to fulfill this concept.

Even in difficult conditions such as double currents or when fish are scattered, the SATOU Jig allows fast bottom contact and precise control of both lift and fall.
Its excellent water-shedding nose and tail design works efficiently on both the jerk (up) and fall (down), while the flat, elongated silhouette provides strong visual appeal to attract fish from a wide area.

When tides are poor and fish are reluctant to bite, this jig becomes a true trump card—capable of drawing strikes where other jigs fail.

Final refinements were made on the boat, with Sato himself hand-shaping the prototype until it reached his ideal performance.
From shallow to mid-deep water, the SATOU Jig delivers outstanding results across a wide range of target species.

Features

■ Asymmetrical Body Design

A flat, long asymmetrical body designed to deliver strong visual appeal and high fish-attracting performance.
The keel running from the center of the back toward the rear, combined with the side overhangs inherited from the Caprice series, helps maintain stability and makes it easier to reproduce precise, intentional movements.

■ Nose & Tail Design

Designed for smooth water release on both lift (jerk) and drop (fall).
The slim nose and finely tapered tail reduce resistance, enabling precise control and a clean, natural action in both directions.

■ Small Solid Ring

Designed with a compact solid ring to minimize tangling with assist hooks and reduce rigging troubles.
