The BLUE HEAVEN BH L100 Power Gear by STUDIO OCEAN MARK is built for anglers who demand power, precision, and offshore performance.
Perfectly suited for targeting tuna, large amberjack, and deep-sea species, the L100 delivers high torque and smooth control when it matters most.
This model comes equipped with a custom AE100 handle knob for enhanced grip and comfort, along with a 4.9:1 gear ratio and 95 cm line retrieve per handle rotation — ideal for heavy-duty jigging.

⚙️ Specifications

L-Shaped Drag Lever
Designed for serious jigging, this uniquely shaped drag lever allows smooth adjustments from the palming side—even while pumping. Enables intuitive control under pressure.

Quick-Change Spool System
A signature SOM innovation since the original BH-L. Easily swap spools even on a rocking boat—ideal for quick adjustments to changing conditions.

Tactile Drag Position Feedback
The gearbox edge is contoured to let you feel the drag lever's position with your fingertips—no need to look down during action. Experience intuitive lever control through touch.

Asymmetric Body Design (Utility Model Registered)
This innovative jigging-specific design, first introduced by SOM, features an enlarged gearbox side for strength and a slimmed-down palming side for a more secure grip.
Even with a powerful large-diameter gear inside, the reel maintains excellent handling and compact feel in hand.

Drag Setting System

The L100 model is set so that each click of the drag lever changes pressure by approximately 1 kg.
Starting from the STRIKE position as a reference point:

• MIN position: −3 kg

• FIGHT position: +3 kg

• MAX position: up to +4 kg

Adjust the STRIKE position based on the strength of your line and your target species.
This click-based drag tuning allows precise, repeatable control during a fight.

2-Bearing Pinion Gear Support (L100 Only)

The pinion gear shaft has been extended and supported with two ball bearings, dramatically increasing stability under heavy loads.
This design minimizes shaft flex and keeps precise alignment with the drive gear, improving gear meshing and power transmission.

As a result, the L100 achieves approximately 9% more winding efficiency compared to standard star-drag reels in the same class.

Angular Contact Ball Bearings (ACBB)

ACBBs are designed with angular contact between the inner and outer races, allowing them to withstand both radial and axial loads.
This structure ensures smooth handle rotation even when the drag is tightened, reducing resistance during retrieval under heavy load.

Ideal for high-drag settings, the ACBB system provides durability and fluid motion where conventional bearings would struggle.

📷 Service-Friendly Design – Access with Fewer Tools

While we recommend servicing by qualified technicians, the reel’s internal layout is engineered for accessibility.
The frame and gear housing can be separated with just a few screws, allowing for efficient maintenance when needed.

• Rotation shaft / bearings: compatible with CC000

• Gears: compatible with CG001

⚠️ Avoid applying grease to spool bearings, as it can cause drag during rotation.
Use light bearing oil for the spool.
